Indonesia Australia Business Council
The Indonesian Australia Business Council (IABC) was founded in 1989. It represents all those of any nationality with an interest in the Indonesia Australia business relationship. It operates informally as the Australia committee of Kadin, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry – which is legally the sole representative voice of business. Its board is composed equally of Indonesians and Australians, and always has an Indonesian president. It is managed by an Executive Director and a small secretariat. The IABC’s mission is to enhance business links and foster friendship, which it achieves primarily through networking among its around 250 members, and through providing information. Representation of individual investors is left to professionals on a commercial basis.
